Today’s issue of La Repubblica reports on changes to the Italian national team. Roberto Mancini, the current coach, is expected to keep his job. However, a number of former Italian internationals, such as Andrea Barzagli and Gianluigi Buffon, are set to join the staff.
According to the Italian media, Alberto Bollini, the current coach of the U19 national team, is set to become second-in-command of the Squadra Azzura. Fausto Salsano and former defender Andrea Barzagli complete the Italy coach’s team. Gianluigi Buffon, still under contract with Parma in Serie B, has not been forgotten in the allocation of positions. If he so desires, he has been promised the position of Head of Delegation for the national team. A position he could take up as soon as he leaves Parma.
