Wojciech Szczesny was critical of his team-mates after the defeat to Lazio. “One win in nine games isn’t worthy of Juventus” and the players “must learn to cope with pressure”.
“We all have to understand that we have to give more for Juventus. We are aware that we haven’t done enough in the last two months, it’s a negative moment and it hurts us all. We need to be aware of the goals that lie ahead. Each of us has to ask ourselves questions. We all have to do better. The Coppa Italia is the only remaining trophy we can take home, and we know how important that is, just as qualification for the Champions League is important. We had the Scudetto dream for six or seven months, we did well in the first part of the season, then when that dream slipped away, we lost something. That can’t be an excuse, because one win in nine games isn’t worthy of Juventus,” Szczesny told DAZN.
