“Referees make mistakes, just like coaches”, Walter Mazzarri

Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri appeared at a press conference ahead of his team’s meeting with Juventus tomorrow. The Italian coach was asked about the controversy between coaches and referees. He said he didn’t want to talk about it, but admitted that referees can make mistakes, just like coaches and players.

“I took a year and a half off to cleanse myself of the past. If I come into the press room and you ask me a question about referees, I won’t answer. The old Mazzarri has retired, I don’t come to talk, as happened last Sunday, because I knew you’d bombard me on the subject… I just want to talk about my team. Referees make mistakes, as do coaches and players, you judge and I will always agree,” he declared.
