Cagliari midfielder Matteo Prati played his first Serie A match today against Udinese. A first-team regular, he says he is proud to have benefited from the confidence of Claudio Ranieri, his coach, whom he considers to be one of the best in the world.
“The coach’told me yesterday that I would play, I’was calm because the coach’trusted me from day one. I knew I was a bit out of shape, but when I went out on the pitch, I was calm. I won’t forget that day, because it was my childhood dream to play in Serie A. It was a choice I made because my dream was to play in Serie A, and I knew I was going where there was a coach who doesn’t need to be told. He’s one of the best. The choice to come to Cagliari was also influenced by that. I’m happy and proud,” Matteo Prati told Sky Sports.
