Adrien Rabiot admits he’s worried about his Juventus and France teammate Paul Pogba after the failed doping test.

The French midfielder has had a difficult time since returning to Turin as a free agent from Manchester United, with a series of injuries, the trial for attempted extortion with his brother involved, and then being suspended for failing a standard Serie A doping test. He maintains his innocence and insists that any substance that raised his testosterone levels was unknowingly taken while he was recovering in the USA, but he is still awaiting the verdict.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen to him. We talk, we had dinner before I left. Everyone knows Paul, he’s always smiling. I hope he gets the least punishment. He’s down, I think we all are. He’s a great player, a great man. In the face of everything he’s had to deal with, it would be very difficult for anyone to manage, it’s a lot for one person. We’re all with him,” he declared. Since returning to Juventus as a free agent from Manchester United in the summer of 2022, Pogba has only been able to make a handful of appearances for the club. There have been just two games in the current season, whereas last season he managed 10 games, providing one assist.
