Last summer, there were rumors of possible negotiations between Manchester United and Adrien Rabiot’s entourage. The player’s mother and agent Véronique Rabiot denied this in an interview with Sportweek.
“It’s all false. United wanted to meet me to illustrate their interest in Adrien, but we never talked about money in detail because he quickly decided to stay in Turin. There was never any real negotiation and we are on excellent terms with Manchester United,” she began. She went on to talk about the terms of her son’s renewal at Juventus. “It was my idea. The club didn’t agree at first, but I got an extra year with a substantial raise. It’s an innovative renewal. The European Championship is just one element among many. We mustn’t underestimate Adrien’s career at Juventus, his commitment and his weight in the team,” concluded Véronique Rabiot.
