According to Il Corriere dello Sport, PSG are leading the race to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen, despite interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.

PSG have “moved to the front of the queue” to sign Napoli striker Osimhen, reports Il Corriere dello Sport. The newspaper claims that the Ligue 1 giants are “closing in” on the striker’s €130 million release clause, as they see the Nigerian international as the ideal replacement for Kylian Mbappé. Osimhen recently signed a contract extension until 2026, but it includes a 130 million euro clause, and Napoli are ready to part with the Serie A 2022-23 top scorer at the end of the season. Il Corriere dello Sport points out that PSG and Napoli have already concluded several deals in the past. Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani moved to Paris in 2012 and 2013, respectively, for a combined transfer fee of 95 million euros, while Fabian Ruiz signed for the Ligue 1 giants in 2022 for 23 million euros. Il Corriere dello Sport confirms that Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Osimhen, but PSG is currently leading the race to sign the 25-year-old.
