Paris Saint-Germain looks set to terminate Christophe Galtier’s contract and hire a coach with UEFA Champions League experience. RMC Sport reported on Sunday that sports advisor Luis Campos has spoken to Jose Mourinho’s agent about a possible arrival this summer. The French media outlet adds that the AS Roma coach is interested in PSG.
As a result, negotiations are progressing between Campos and the Portuguese coach’s agent, Jorge Mendes. Nevertheless, Mourinho does not hide, in private, a form of weariness. Although he loves his life in Rome and rejected Chelsea’s advances a few weeks ago, the “Special One” would like to find a new base closer to his ambitions. After winning the UEFA Europa League for his team, he knows that it will be difficult for him to do better, given the means at his disposal. Among the clubs that can make him leave Roma are PSG and Real Madrid if the bench becomes available. He is Campos’ favorite candidate for the top job at PSG. In other words, if the sports consultant has the final say on the choice of coach, Mourinho will have a foothold in the French capital.
