Inter CEO Beppe Marotta confirms that he has already informed Aurelio De Laurentiis of the discussions with Piotr Zielinski and confirms that the club is pressing for extensions with Lautaro Martinez and Nicolò Barella.

The Nerazzurri director spoke to DAZN after Inter’s 1-0 victory over Juventus on Sunday evening. Marotta confirmed that the Serie A leaders are in advanced talks with Napoli midfielder Zielinski, who could become the first recruit of 2024-25. His contract at the Stadio Maradona expires in June, so the Polish international will move to the Stadio Meazza on a free transfer. “What really counts is to be a club like the one in 2010. The players want to join us. As for Zielinski, we’re testing the waters, I’ve also spoken to De Laurentiis. We’ll sign him for next season if everything goes according to plan. At the moment, we are contacting and negotiating with the players. It’s easier for us because we represent Inter. We’re not in a hurry; no one is going to leave for free. We want to consolidate the link with players who show their love for the shirt, like Lautaro and Barella, but not only them. The good thing is that we are dealing with professional players who love the club and the brand. I’ve extended my contract with Inter until 2027, when I’ll be 70. I love soccer and would like to stay in this environment to create a new life for myself politically,” he concluded.
