Corriere dello Sport reports that Piotr Zielinski has turned down a lucrative offer from Al-Ahli as he awaits a new deal with Napoli .
The 29-year-old Polish midfielder has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Partenopei and is keen to sign a new deal, despite interest from Lazio and Saudi Arabia. Al-Ahli have reportedly offered Zielinski a three-year contract worth a total of €36 million, far more than he would receive in a new deal with Napoli. As reported by Corriere dello Sport via TMW , Zielinski has decided to reject Al-Ahli’s offer while he waits for an agreement to be reached with Napoli, wanting to sign a new deal. Talks will not be easy, however, as the Partenopei are not prepared to pay his current net salary of 4.8 million euros per season in a new deal, so he would have to accept a pay cut to stay in the Campania capital.
