Stefano Pioli is expected to reshuffle his pack and try out a slightly different system in the match against Verona .
After a 5-1 defeat to rivals Inter last week and a 0-0 draw at home to Newcastle in the Champions League on Tuesday night, several media outlets are suggesting that AC Milan could be set up offensively in a 3-4-3, which could switch to a more familiar 4-3-3 in the defensive phases. According to Gianluca Di Marzio and Tuttomercatoweb, left-back Theo Hernandez is the most likely to drop out of the starting XI. In his absence, Alessandro Florenzi is likely to start on the left, operating as a forward winger, but fitting into a back four when AC Milan are under pressure. It is suggested that Yunus Musah could start on the right of Milan’s four midfielders and become the third central midfielder when Florenzi occupies the full-back position.
