Thanks to Noah Okafor, Milan won 1-0 at Lazio after a nervy encounter marked by numerous fouls and three dismissals for Lazio. The first was the turning point of the match, Luca Pellegrini receiving a second yellow card after fouling Christian Pulisic in an attempt to stop play after Taty Castellanos had been hit in the head.

Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli explained to DAZN: “Sarri shouted at me that the ball was going to go out, but the referee didn’t stop the game as the rules state if a player is hit on the head, so Pulisic, who is a very correct player, continued to play, took the ball and Pellegrini fouled him. I don’t see why we had to stop in this situation, either the Lazio player took the ball out or the referee blew his whistle.”
