Speaking to Italian newspaper Calciomercato.com, AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale publicly supports coach Stefano Pioli.

The RedBird CEO continued to draw the ire of fans after his decision to sack directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara last summer, a move that seriously damaged trust between fans and owners. “We have changed a lot and it takes time to create a cohesive team. However, we are growing, close to second place, and credit must go to the players, staff and coaches for that. I’ll be satisfied when we manage to qualify for the Champions League. I think Pioli is doing a good job in a difficult situation, with a much-changed team, and I don’t give in to the temptation to sack someone just to change something. I would say that the season is still long, anything can happen, we’ll see. We need to improve in a number of areas, particularly injuries. Everyone, starting with me, has to do a better job. But I won’t give up, I’ll be there. Nobody wants to win more than me,” declared Gerry Cardinale.
