Since joining Roma, Paulo Dybala has established himself as one of the team’s key players, but the story could come to a painful end this summer.
Despite his struggles to regain form over the last two seasons, Dybala has continued to be one of Roma’s star performers. This term, he has scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists in 37 appearances in all competitions. According to Corriere dello Sport, Dybala is beginning to seriously consider his future with Roma ahead of the summer, fearing that the club will miss out on a Champions League place. In the summer, his €12 million release clause will be valid until the end of July, and his agents are open to approaches from Saudi Arabia, where he could be offered a salary of around €8 million net per season plus add-ons. Next season, his contract, which expires in 2025, would be automatically renewed for a further year if he reached 50% of appearances. At the age of 30, Dybala is keen to have one last adventure before the end of his career, and would seriously consider leaving AS Roma if they missed out on the Champions League.
