André Onana left Inter Milan last summer to join Manchester United. Patrick Mboma, a Cameroonian legend who played for Serie A, spoke to Tutto Mercato Web about his decision. For him, it was clearly not a good sporting choice to leave the Nerazzurri for the Red Devils.
“Onana is a great goalkeeper with few faults. Let’s just say that the high exits are a bit his weakness, but he has a lot of qualities. With his feet he doesn’t do it, it’s poor, we all know that. If you take it at 0 and sell it a year later at 50, it’s a very interesting thing. But the question is another: did Onana make the right choice? In my opinion, from a sporting point of view, going from Inter to Manchester United isn’t a sporting move,” said Mboma.
