Paolo Maldini, former player and technical director of AC Milan, gave a long interview to Radio TV Serie A. The interview covered a wide range of topics relating to the club’s past, present and future. In particular, the Milan native spoke of the strongest players he played with.
“As far as moral strength and characteristics go, Franco Baresi was a crazy player, he never spoke, he acted, he was perfect. Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are the two technically strongest players I’ve ever seen play, but they came at the end of their careers. Playing against Ronaldo at Inter was difficult. I loved playing 1-on-1, but with Ronaldo it was difficult. He never stopped, and the rules were more permissive than they are today. You could use your body more, but he was big, fast and technical,” Maldini told Radio TV Serie A.
