Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, will not be taking legal action against Napoli following the recent controversy surrounding their mocking videos on TikTok.
The 24-year-old Nigerian striker has been the subject of two viral videos in recent days, the first mocking his missed penalty against Bologna and the second comparing him to a coconut. Osimhen was furious with the videos and Napoli eventually deleted them, but after that his agent Calenda came out and noted that’legal action was being considered in response. The club issued an official statement in response on Thursday, but this was widely criticized for the lack of an apology. Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Osimhen’s agent, Calenda, decided not to take legal action against Napoli following the publication of their statement. The Nigerian striker’s contract expires in June 2025 and an extension seems unlikely at this stage, making a departure within the next 12 months a realistic possibility.
