Following reports in Italy that Olivier Giroud wants to move to MLS, it has now been suggested that LAFC are in advanced discussions with the AC Milan striker.
La Gazzetta dello Sport had already suggested that Giroud would like to continue his career in the USA with Major League Soccer. Now, Athletic claims that there is one specific club already in advanced negotiations with Giroud’s entourage, and that’s LAFC. There is still no agreement and Giroud is free to consider other options, including the possibility of staying at AC Milan, where he remains their first choice. Author of 14 goals in 36 competitive games this season, as well as an impressive nine assists. However, it is reported that LAFC have secured his discovery rights from MLS, giving them priority to sign him ahead of any other club in the league. LAFC have reached the MLS Cup final for two consecutive years, and their current squad includes the likes of Hugo Lloris, Cristian Olivera and Denis Bouanga.
