“Now I have too much energy…” Antonio Conte on his return to competition

Antonio Conte has been with the club since leaving Tottenham in 2023. He had the opportunity to bounce back with the Italian national team, but didn’t want to compete with Luciano Spalletti. He has taken a step back and now says he is ready and very energetic for other challenges, starting next summer.

“I took this time for myself, for my family and to be with my parents. My father is pushing me to come back soon, but it’s important to recharge my batteries, both physically and mentally. My only problem now is that I have too much energy and I’m getting on my wife’s nerves,” the former Inter coach told the Telegraph. He then went on to talk about his strategies, in particular the use of Subbuteo, a game that enables a tactical reproduction of a soccer match. “At every club I’ve coached, I’ve brought Subbuteo along, sometimes even to explain certain tactical situations to my players. I’ve always had one at home,” concluded Antonio Conte.
