Maurizio Sarri wants Lazio to be brave in their Champions League second leg against Bayern Munich.

The first leg ended 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to a Ciro Immobile penalty, and this gives them an advantage to take to Munich’s Allianz stadium. As the away goals rule no longer applies, any victory by a one-goal margin for Bayern Munich would force extra time. “I don’t feel particularly emotional, because we have to be brave and determined. We know how difficult it’s going to be, which should give us that spirit of sacrifice. Nothing is impossible in soccer, and that should give us courage. We need to be excited and angry. Bayern Munich are a superior team and they can score goals easily. Thinking we can just sit there and defend for 100 minutes is a bad idea, we have to have the courage to go forward. I’ve had positive feelings over the last few weeks, I’ve got the impression that something has changed within the team,” said the coach at his press conference.
