Nicolò Zaniolo scored on his debut for Galatasaray and assures that he wants to “play in the Champions League” with the Turkish club, as more and more reports emerge about this release clause in his contract.

He certainly got off to a good start once the season resumed after a month-long suspension following the devastating earthquake, as he scored within 15 minutes of his debut from the bench. There continue to be various reports regarding his release clause, as it was initially suggested that there was a special section just for a return to Serie A. “I don’t intend to stay here to wait for an offer and then leave at the end of the season. I want to win the title and then play the Champions League with Galatasaray,” Zaniolo told Hurriyet. Now, Calciomercato.com says that the clause changes over time, so it is set at 35 million euros in the summer of 2023, then 28-30 million euros in 2024 and 23-25 million euros in 2025.
