While Nicolò Barella and Davide Frattesi are back in training, Nicolò Fagioli will miss the first match against Albania due to bone edema on his fibula.
Sky Sport Italia reports that Fagioli has been ruled out of the first match because he sustained bruising to his fibula. He suffered the injury during the last friendly win over Bosnia-Herzegovina and missed training for a few days to work in the gym. Although Fagioli returned to work with the rest of the team yesterday, the problem flared up and it was decided to rest him before the other group matches against Spain and Croatia. Barella has just returned to training too, having suffered a muscular problem that kept him out of the two warm-up matches. The Inter midfielder may well be rested against Albania so that he can be fully fit for the more prestigious group matches. His club team-mate Frattesi was just slightly tired and needed only a slight rest. Bryan Cristante could start the Albania match with Jorginho in midfield.
