Salvatore Sirigu, goalkeeper of Fiorentina, suffered a bad injury during a training match during the international break. He was evacuated from the stadium by ambulance. The Viola gives news about him.
“ACF announces that the player Salvatore Sirigu has undergone surgery to reinstate his Achilles tendon yesterday late afternoon following the injury that occurred during the training last Saturday. The operation was carried out with a minimally invasive technique by Professor Attilio Santucci and was perfectly successful. Salvatore will return to Florence in the next few hours to begin the rehabilitation process,” reads the statement.
