Both Italy internationals have been forced to withdraw from the squad for the EURO 2024 qualifiers against Malta and England due to injury. Immobile is suffering from thigh flexor strains. In fact, he returned to training yesterday for the first time. However, having already missed the match against Atalanta, the centre-forward will probably be rested for this weekend’s game against Sassuolo. The aim is for Immobile to be fully recovered for the Champions League clash with Feyenoord.
