Napoli are interested in English winger Mason Greenwood, keen to rival Juventus.
The 22-year-old Englishman was ousted from the Red Devils last summer following the emergence of videos and photos on social media showing alleged abusive and controlling behavior during the 2021-22 season. In January 2022, Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, and was subsequently charged with attempted rape, assault causing actual bodily harm and controlling and coercive behavior in October 2022. The charges were controversially dropped, and he was loaned out to Getafe, attracting Juventus’attention. According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have set their sights on Greenwood, looking to do battle with Juventus for the Manchester United striker. Getafe are also hoping to keep hold of the 22-year-old, which complicates matters. The 22-year-old is not expected to return to the Red Devils in the summer.
