Napoli are in search of reinforcements to turn around their fortunes for the rest of the season. De Laurentiis and the club’s board of directors are tracking Hamed Traoré and Antonín Barák.

One thing is almost certain: one of these two players will be at Napoli for the rest of the 2023-2024 campaign. The Neapolitan club’s directors are looking to offer the coaching staff more options in midfield. This area is expected to welcome one or two players in the winter. According to information reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday January 15, Hamed Junior Traoré is closer than ever to becoming a Napoli player. The 23-year-old Ivorian arrives from Bournemouth, where he is under contract until June 2028. But there is no question of a permanent transfer for him just yet. Hamed Traoré is coming on loan with an option to buy at a fixed price of €25 million. The deal has already been finalized, and he is expected to undergo a medical in the next few days. However, the Ivorian is not Napoli’s only target. Antonín Barák is also on Aurelio De Laurentiis’s shortlist. The Czech midfielder currently plays for Fiorentina. He still has two years left on his contract with the Viola, and is still lacking game time. In his case, too, there is talk of a loan with an option to buy set at 6 million euros. The aim is to secure the services of at least one of the two players.
