André-Frank Zambo Anguissa should be among the Cameroonian players selected for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire, barring a catastrophe. To make up for his absence, the club is considering recruiting an experienced player.
In January, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is due to leave for Côte d’Ivoire, where he will take part in the Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon. With Eljif Elmas also set to leave, Napoli are likely to recruit a midfielder to fill the void. According to Il Mattino, the Partenopei have set their sights on Boubakary Soumaré. The French midfielder, who has made 14 appearances for Sevilla this season, has convinced the Napoli staff. The club will take the necessary steps with the Andalusian club to recruit him this winter. Walter Mazzarri’s team are expected to spend a minimum of €10 million to complete the deal.
