Romelu Lukaku, after a successful loan spell at AS Roma where he scored 21 goals in 47 games, is close to signing a three-season contract with Napoli. According to Sky Italia, the deal includes an annual salary of €6 million plus bonuses. Chelsea, for their part, are looking to recover at least €35 million for the transfer of the talented Belgian striker, bought for €115 million in 2021.
The transfer would mark Lukaku’s return to Serie A, where he previously shone with Inter Milan before joining Chelsea. At the age of 31, Lukaku would bring his experience and goalscoring instincts to Napoli, reinforcing the team’s domestic and European ambitions. His potential to make a difference on the pitch could well propel Napoli to new heights in the seasons to come.
