Napoli has officially parted ways with social media manager Alessio Fortino following the Victor Osimhen-themed TikToks recently posted on the club’s social media channels.
Osimhen had been the subject of two videos published on Napoli’s official TikTok account. The situation infuriated last season’s top scorer and upset a number of his close colleagues, fans and government officials in his native Nigeria. As a result of this negative reaction, Fortino, who had been at Napoli for two and a half years, has now left his post. Above all, as Calciomercato.com points out, Fortino didn’t produce the TikToks himself, but the person who did has already personally apologized to Osimhen himself. Fortino issued a personal statement announcing his departure from Napoli, but didn’t make any reference to Osimhen or the publications on TikTok.
