Napoli have a new sporting director. Following the departure of Cristiano Giuntoli, Azzurri president Aurelio De Laurentiis has announced the appointment of a new strongman to head up transfer operations and player renewals.
Former Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has left the club to take up the same position at Juventus Turin. To this end, the Italian champions have appointed Mauro Meluso as their new sporting director. “I am delighted to announce that Mauro Meluso is Napoli’s new sporting director. Welcome to our family and best wishes for your work,” tweeted Aurelio De Laurentiis. Meluso was previously sporting director of Lecce, Cosenza and Frosinone. He was also technical director of La Spezia Calcio.
