Napoli are reportedly keeping an eye on RB Salzburg midfielder Maurits Kjaergaard for a January transfer.
The 20-year-old is captain of Denmark’s Under-21 international team, scoring six goals in 19 appearances at this level. His contract with Salzburg runs until June 2026, and he is currently out of action with a shoulder injury. According to Tuttomercatoweb, the asking price is in the region of €15m, and a sale is expected by the end of 2024. Napoli hope to make a decision in January to strengthen their squad, especially as Diego Demme is set to leave the club mid-season. Kjaergaard played 15 competitive games for RB Salzburg, contributing two goals and five assists. Napoli are trying to reorganize the team for new coach Walter Mazzarri, after sacking Rudi Garcia last month.
