Representatives of Napoli were present at a “summit” with the mayor of Naples, members of the Ministry of the Interior and local police authorities on the plans for the imminent celebrations of the Scudetto victory.
Napoli have expressed their expectations for two festive events to take place in the city when they win the Serie A: an inevitable “spontaneous” event when the title is mathematically confirmed and an official celebration at the end of the season in June. The Partenopei could confirm their title if they win their next four games, in which case the first round of celebrations would begin on May 3 after the trip to Udinese. An official event will be held at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona once the season ends in June and will later move to another location somewhere in the city. Piazza del Plebiscito has been identified as the ideal location for events later in the day, while other areas such as Piazza Mercato, Piazza Ciro Esposito and the former NATO base in Bagnoli are also being considered.
