Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to give Khvicha Kvaratskhelia a new long-term contract before the summer, details report.

The 22-year-old Georgian winger is still under the same contract he signed when he first arrived from Dinamo Batumi in July 2022, earning only around 1 million euros net per season. Given his explosive start to life in Italy, it’s clear that a new deal commensurate with his importance is in order. De Laurentiis recently mentioned Kvaratskhelia’s new contract at his revealing press conference, noting that the winger’s entourage wished to “talk about it at the end of the season”. Napoli are already expecting to sell star striker Victor Osimhen this summer, so cannot afford to lose the Georgian as well. As reported by Il Mattino via TMW, despite De Laurentiis’s recent statements, the Napoli president is keen to secure a new contract for Kvaratskhelia before the summer mercato, wanting to avoid any possible risks from abroad. The Partenopei president will meet the winger’s entourage before the end of April to discuss the new contract, keen to make the 22-year-old the center of the project.
