Orel Mangala has reportedly agreed to join Napoli, who are currently working on a deal with Nottingham Forest.
The Partenopei have been incredibly active in this month’s transfer window in response to their disastrous first half of the season. Winger Cyril Ngonge, full-back Pasquale Mazzocchi and forward Hamed Junior Traoré have all signed for the club in recent weeks. Napoli have been working on Mangala in recent days and recently overtook rivals Juventus in the race to sign the Belgian midfielder, believing that the Belgian would be the perfect addition to Walter Mazzarri’s team. As reported by Il Mattino via TMW, Mangala has now given the green light to join Napoli in the next few days, allowing the Scudetto holders to concentrate on negotiations with Nottingham Forest. The deal is likely to be a six-month loan with a conditional compulsory purchase clause worth around €25 million. The midfielder would then sign a four-year contract after his transfer is made permanent this summer.
