Former Juventus player now with Toronto in MLS, Federico Bernardeschi has taken the liberty of dissecting Serie A and making his predictions for next season. The Italian midfielder puts his faith in Napoli to win the Scudetto once again. However, he also praises Inter, AC Milan and Napoli as strong contenders.
“Napoli are still favourites? They’re a big club, they lost Kim but they have a good squad and can claim a second Scudetto. What’s more, they now have the confidence to win. Inter are competitive on all fronts, intervening where they need to and taking more targeted shots. Milan have changed a lot, but they have a precise idea of the game. They lost Tonali, to whom I wish the best of luck, but they kept Leao, a champion, and took on some strong players. The real success is Loftus-Cheek, a modern midfielder who is physical, technical and fast. Add Lazio: Sarri has concrete ideas for the game, makes his mark and has a project. Last year, he achieved excellent results,” Federico Bernardeschi told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
