Napoli have sent Bournemouth an official loan offer for Hamed Junior Traoré and hope to conclude a loan deal in the next few days, details report.
The Partenopei are looking to turn things around in the second half of the season after the chaos of the first half, which saw them sack coach Rudi Garcia and replace him with a short-term option Walter Mazzarri. The team currently occupies 9th place in the Serie A standings at the halfway stage. Traoré joined Bournemouth last year from Sassuolo in a deal worth around €25 million, but has struggled to break into the first team on the English coast, playing just 181 minutes of action in six games in total this season. As Fabrizio Romano reports, Napoli have now sent an official loan offer for Traoré and talks with Bournemouth are progressing. A €25 million purchase option has been attached to the offer, and the Italian club would pay the winger’s wages for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old Ivorian striker has already informed the Cherries that he would like to join the Partenopei, who are also working on deals for Nottingham Forest’s Orel Mangala and Fiorentina’s Antonin Barak.
