Napoli were held to a 2-2 draw on Matchday 32. The result keeps the Azzurri out of the UEFA Champions League qualification places. However, Francesco Calzona, the club’s coach, still believes they can. He revealed as much in his post-match press conference.
Napoli are 7th in Serie A with 49 points, 10 behind Bologna, provisionally qualified for the Champions League. Francesco Calzona, the Partenopei coach, still believes that the Italian champions can qualify for the LDC. “Of course, you have to believe in it (the Champions League, editor’s note), otherwise you can’t do the job. Mathematics doesn’t condemn us to any objective. I believe in it, we have a serious problem of lack of solidity. It’s not acceptable to concede two goals a game,” Francesco Calzona told the post-match press conference.
