Claudio Lotito, president of Lazio Rome, recently spoke to the media about his club’s summer mercato. He admitted that money alone was not enough to build a great team. He hopes, however, that the club’s new signings will help the team to challenge for the top spot in Serie A.
“Me, an Arab in Italian soccer? What does money have to do with it? There’s the technical aspect and the economic aspect. I don’t think money alone is enough to build a great team. How can I put it? Money isn’t everything, but it helps you live better. They help, but they are not decisive. It’s true that a great campaign needs money to be able to buy players, but it’s also true that we were able to manage the buying campaign with choices that, I think and hope, will be rewarded at the end of the season,” according to comments reported by lalaziosiamonoi.it.
