Sergej Milinkovic-Savic recently received a pharaonic offer to join a Saudi club. The Serbian midfielder is very interested and has reportedly begged his chairman to let him go. The latter, Claudio Lotito, revealed his conversation with his player in a recent media appearance.
“If the contract isn’t signed and the payment isn’t made, he will go to camp. Pay a coin, see a camel. These are life choices, I wouldn’t have made that one, but it’s obvious that the 18 million a season motivates him. He phoned me begging me to let him go. I tried several times to convince him to stay, until the last time I tried to keep him, I was ready to renew his contract and increase it, but Sergej told me he wanted a change of scenery after eight years at Lazio,” Claudio Lotito told Il Messaggero.
