AC Milan are reportedly looking for a new goalkeeper, as Mike Maignan has demanded a massive salary of €8 million per season to extend his contract.

Tuttomercatoweb suggests that it’s because talks to extend his contract have stalled with a huge discrepancy between the proposal and his demands. Maignan currently earns 2.8 million euros per season and AC Milan’s offer is to almost double that for a salary of 5 million euros. However, it is reported that his agents are demanding 8 million euros per season, which would make him one of the club’s highest earners. Given his injury record, the fact that he’ll be 29 in July and that he’d be sold for a massive profit after arriving for 15.4 million euros from Lille in 2021, everything points to the exit. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are known to be tracking Maignan, whose price tag is in the region of €40-50 million. His current contract runs until June 2026.
