AC Milan are reportedly preparing to offer influential goalkeeper Mike Maignan another long-term contract extension after impressing between the sticks for the Rossoneri since arriving from Lille in 2021.
The 27-year-old has shown impressive consistency and, with an average rating of 6.35 from the 21 Serie A games he has played this season, he was the highest-rated player on AC Milan’s books, followed by Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer. According to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are hoping to reward the Frenchman with a new contract until the summer of 2028, which would be the club’s longest contract after Rafael Leao agreed a long-term extension earlier in May. Maignan’s new contract would also come with a significant increase in his annual salary, which is set to rise by at least 30% from the 2.8 million per season he currently earns to around 4 million euros.
