With his contract due to expire in 2026, Mike Maignan is set to stay in Lombardy beyond that date. Currently, the player’s entourage is in talks with Rossoneri management to reach an agreement. However, the French goalkeeper has set a condition that is likely to slow down negotiations.

Mike Maignan has expressed his desire to continue his adventure with AC Milan. However, according to Corriere Della Sera, he has made a huge demand for a pay rise. He currently earns 2.8 million euros a year. He would now like to earn 8 million euros a year, a figure similar to that of the best goalkeepers in Europe at the moment. A detail that could seriously jeopardize negotiations, as the club’s management would not really be willing to pay this price. This could lead to the departure of the former Lille man, who is being courted by Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea. If no agreement is reached, AC Milan could recover up to 100 million euros from his sale.
