Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of Angola international M’Bala Nzola on a permanent transfer from Spezia.
Several sources, including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia, had previously reported that the fee for Nzola’amounted to 12 million euros. The 26-year-old attracted a lot of interest from several European teams this summer, including West Ham, Roma and Turin , but ultimately opted for Fiorentina. Nzola made an almost heroic switch to Spezia during 2022-23, scoring 13 goals in 31 Serie A appearances. Including assists, he was involved in just under 50% of the goals scored by the club in the league last season. In addition to the signing of Nzola, Fiorentina are reportedly still working on a deal to bring in Lucas Beltran from River Plate.
