Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab are trying to recruit Napoli winger Matteo Politano, offering €12 million plus a lucrative contract.
This is not a new interest, as Al-Shabab had already lobbied for the Italian international during the summer and were widely expected to return during the January mercato with a new proposal. According to Sky Sport Italia, this has now happened, as his agent and Napoli have been approached with a fee of €12 million on the table. The contract is more intriguing, as the terms would amount to 7 million euros per season over a three-year period. Politano is 30 years old and his current contract with Napoli runs until June 2025. He was bought from Inter after an initial loan period for a total of €23.5 million in 2021 and is a regular for the team, contributing six goals and five assists in 24 competitive games so far this season.
