Former Juventus player Massimo Mauro recently spoke to the media about Leonardo Bonucci’s future at Juventus. For him, the tug-of-war between the club and the defender is the worst way for both parties to part ways. He deplores the situation, but believes it’s deserved.
“It ends in the worst possible way, but it’s perhaps a little deserved on both sides. Things have changed since Bonucci won the Scudetti, it’s not the same Juve, everything has changed. The club makes its own choices. The player was expecting gratitude and he could have been given Bonucci’s story at Juve. These are things that shouldn’t happen, but now it also happens that Lukaku wants to go to Juventus whereas 6 months earlier he had said never to Juventus,” Massimo Mauro told Sportmediaset.
