Former PSG player Blaise Matuidi recently spoke out about Marco Verratti, whom he played alongside in the French capital. He described the Italian midfielder as a great professional.
“In my eyes, given the titles won, Marco has left his mark on PSG’s history. When he arrived, he was very young, carefree, nobody knew him. But from the very first touches we saw that he was a little jewel who was going to thrill the Parc des Princes. Marco has never hidden the fact that he is a bon vivant. Let’s not forget that he arrived in Paris as a boy, from Pescara. It’s not the same rhythm of life. But he also knew how to be serious. I can assure you that Marco was never late for training, and was always a great professional,” the former French footballer told RMC Sport.
