Luka Jovic was one of the notable absentees from Stefano Pioli’s squad to face Juventus in Serie A, joining Theo Hernandez, Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori and probably also Simon Kjaer on the unavailability list.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia on Friday evening, Jovic is struggling with a muscle strain. The Serbian international will therefore miss Juventus’s match at the Allianz Stadium and will probably be monitored and undergo treatment over the next few days. Stefano Pioli will also have several other team members unavailable. Theo Hernandez and Calabria received red cards at the end of the Derby della Madonnina defeat to Inter. Tomori has now accumulated five yellow cards for the season and will also be suspended for one match. Simon Kjaer and Pierre Kalulu are still injured, while IsmaĆ«l Bennacer is unlikely to be involved as a starter. Yacine Adli is expected to start in place of the Algerian international.
