Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia report that Luis Alberto has agreed to extend his contract with Lazio until June 2027.

The midfielder will turn 31 in September, and his current contract was due to run until June 2025. His future was already in doubt with the arrival of coach Maurizio Sarri, but he managed to convince the tactician and adapt to the 4-3-3. The Spaniard has once again been linked with a potential exit, but several sources indicate that an agreement has been reached to extend the deal until 2027. Sportitalia maintains that the contract will earn him 4 million euros per season plus bonuses, an increase on his previous salary of 3.5 million euros. He has been at the Stadio Olimpico since leaving Liverpool in 2016, amassing 47 goals and 68 assists in 263 competitive games for the club.
