Italy took on Malta in Bari yesterday as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The Squadra Azzurra won 4-0, but Luciano Spalletti was clearly not very satisfied. In a press conference, the Tuscan coach stressed that his side lacked quality, speed and rhythm.
“I expected more in terms of quality of play, speed and rhythm. More dynamic soccer, based on what I saw during the week. But for that, I must also congratulate Marcolini. But we needed to manage possession better, and I didn’t see many exchanges on the court to free up space at the gates,” said Luciano Spalletti at the press conference.
