Luciano Spalletti described his “three rules to be champion” after Napoli won the Scudetto, also the first Serie A title of his coaching career. With a post on his Instagram page, Spalletti gave his description of the secret of their success.

“Three rules to be Champions: A passionate city… Fantastic players… And strong destinies! Thank you guys, thank you Napoli,” said Spalletti. It was the third Scudetto for Napoli after the Diego Armando Maradona era in 1987 and 1990. As for Spalletti, he became the oldest coach to win his first Serie A title at the age of 64 years and 58 days. He broke the previous record set by Maurizio Sarri at Juventus in 2019-2020, when he was 61 years and 203 days old. This is technically not the first league title of Spalletti’s career, as he had also won two Russian Premier League trophies with Zenit St. Petersburg in 2009-10 and 2011-12.
